This is an ideal chance for a driven professional with an existing clientele to thrive in a supportive and upscale environment.
Responsibilities
When renting a chair at 1816 House of Beauty, we expect our stylists to uphold the high standards that define our upscale salon experience. Your responsibilities are crucial to maintaining our brand, ensuring a harmonious work environment, and providing exceptional service to every client.
Maintain an Upscale and Professional Mentality:- Represent the 1816 House of Beauty brand through your appearance, demeanor, and communication.
- Adhere to our salon's dress code, ensuring a polished and professional image at all times.
- Conduct yourself with integrity and professionalism in all client and team interactions.
- Uphold discretion and confidentiality regarding client information.
- Be Punctual: Arrive on time for all appointments and manage your schedule efficiently to avoid client wait times.
- Be Attentive: Provide personalized consultations, listen actively to client needs, and deliver services that exceed expectations.
- Ensure a comfortable and welcoming experience for every client from arrival to departure.
- Address any client concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Keep your station immaculately clean, sanitized, and organized before, during, and after each client appointment.
- Properly clean and sanitize all tools and equipment according to health and safety standards.
- Participate in the general upkeep of shared salon areas, including shampoo bowls, breakroom, and restrooms.
- Dispose of waste properly throughout the day.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with fellow stylists, management, and support staff.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative atmosphere; no drama, no gossip.
- Respect the space, time, and clients of others.
- Offer support to colleagues when needed to build a true team dynamic.
- Manage your own booking system and client appointments efficiently.
- Handle all client payments for your services.
- Maintain current and valid professional licensing and liability insurance.
- Manage your own inventory of professional products required for your services.
- Adhere to all salon policies, including those related to scheduling, cancellations, and no-shows.
- Stay current with industry trends and seek out ongoing professional education opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the hair industry
- Valid professional licensing and liability insurance
- Established and reliable clientele
- Professional, team-oriented attitude
