About the Opportunity
As a Stylist Assistant, you will help our salon operate smoothly by supporting stylists, preparing workstations, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and helping clients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
You will gain exposure to daily salon operations, professional products, client service, and the teamwork that makes a salon successful. For candidates pursuing cosmetology, this role can also provide valuable insight into the professional beauty industry.

Responsibilities
Stylist Support: Help stylists prepare for appointments, organize supplies, and keep workstations ready for clients.
Client Hospitality: Greet clients, offer assistance, and help create a friendly, welcoming salon experience.
Shampoo Assistance: Assist with shampooing, conditioning, and other permitted services when appropriately licensed and authorized.
Salon Cleanliness: Keep workstations, shampoo areas, common areas, and salon tools clean and organized in accordance with sanitation requirements.
Laundry and Supplies: Manage towels, capes, laundry, and product supplies to help maintain an efficient workflow.
Appointment Flow: Help the team stay organized and communicate client needs or scheduling changes to the appropriate staff.
Product Knowledge: Learn about professional haircare products and help maintain an organized retail display.
Teamwork: Support stylists and other team members with daily salon responsibilities.
Professional Development: Learn about salon standards, client service, and potential career pathways in the beauty industry.
Qualifications
A genuine interest in hair, beauty, and the salon industry.
Dependable, punctual, organized, and willing to take initiative.
Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with clients.
Ability to follow instructions, accept feedback, and work as part of a team.
Willingness to perform hands on tasks and help maintain a clean salon.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage changing priorities.
Cosmetology school enrollment, graduation, or licensure is welcome but not required for duties that do not require a license under Pennsylvania law.
Previous salon, customer service, hospitality, or retail experience is a plus, but not required.
