Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise salon staff, including hiring, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Manage daily operations, including scheduling shifts, overseeing customer appointments, and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Handle inventory ordering and management to maintain accurate records and control costs.
- Oversee retail sales, merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize revenue.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards while ensuring the salon environment remains clean, organized, and inviting.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, cash handling, and sales reporting; monitor retail math and store metrics regularly.
- Foster a positive team culture through effective communication, motivation, and leadership; support training and development initiatives.
Skills
- Proven management experience within retail or service environments; supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in negotiation, purchasing, inventory control, and retail math to optimize store performance.
- Experience with bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS systems.
- Demonstrated leadership in team management, training and development, and employee orientation.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and merchandising techniques to attract customers and boost sales.
- Ability to handle customer service issues professionally while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
