About the Position
Salon Shear Genius is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer focused Salon Concierge to join our team. As an established, family owned salon serving Chester County for nearly two decades, we take pride in providing exceptional client experiences in a welcoming, professional environment.
Our Salon Concierge is the face of the salon and an essential part of our team's success. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, communicates professionally, and can balance multiple responsibilities while keeping the salon organized and running efficiently.
Responsibilities
Client Experience: Welcome clients warmly, check them in and out, offer assistance, and ensure every guest feels valued.
Appointment Management: Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using our salon booking system.
Telephone and Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to client inquiries, and assist with appointment requests and service questions.
Front Desk Operations: Maintain an organized reception area, monitor appointment flow, and help minimize scheduling gaps and disruptions.
Retail Sales: Assist clients with professional haircare product selections and promote salon retail offerings.
Payment Processing: Process client payments, gift cards, and retail purchases accurately.
Stylist Support: Communicate with stylists regarding arrivals, scheduling changes, client needs, and daily salon operations.
Salon Presentation: Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and professional reception and retail area.
Client Retention: Support rebooking, appointment reminders, and client follow up to encourage repeat visits.
Teamwork: Assist with administrative tasks and other salon duties as needed to support the team.
Qualifications
Friendly, professional, and customer service oriented.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable multitasking in a busy salon environment.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with a team.
Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and payment systems.
Sales minded with an interest in professional beauty products.
Previous salon, spa, hospitality, retail, or receptionist experience is a plus.
