Salon Assistant at

We're looking for a motivated, personable, and team-oriented salon professional to join our team in Ogunquit!

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized salon, learns quickly, and is interested in growing their skills and career within the salon.

The Role

As a Salon Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping the salon running smoothly while working alongside our stylists and building your technical skills. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in all aspects of salon operations while supporting our stylists and providing an excellent guest experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Shampooing and conditioning clients
  • Blow-drying and basic styling
  • Assisting stylists with color services
  • Helping create an elevated client experience
  • Greeting and checking in clients
  • Answering phones and assisting with scheduling
  • Laundry, cleaning, stocking & salon organization
  • Maintaining a clean, polished, and welcoming environment
  • Opening/closing tasks and general salon support

Pay

$17/hour + per client compensation. This incentive is intended to recognize the additional value created by assisting with client services. Tips may also be available in accordance with our salon's tip policy.

Room to Grow

This position is designed with growth in mind. As you build confidence and demonstrate proficiency, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and eventually transition into a Stylist role with an updated service-based compensation structure. We want someone who sees this as more than just a job, who is excited to build a career in the salon industry.

Previous salon experience is preferred, but not required.

Schedule

Approximately 25–35 hours per week, with scheduling based on salon needs and employee availability.
