We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Salon Assistant to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and provide excellent customer service at the front desk
• Assist stylists with hair styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care services
• Manage salon software systems such as Hairmax for scheduling and client records
• Support retail sales by upselling products like hair care, makeup, and skincare items
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the salon, including tools like straight razors and other equipment
• Assist with store management tasks including inventory checks and restocking supplies
• Help with shampooing, applying color, and blow drying
• Support mentoring of new team members and contribute to a positive team environment
• Perform front desk duties such as appointment scheduling, answering inquiries, and managing client flow
• Participate in ongoing training related to cosmetology, barbering, retail math, and other relevant skills

Requirements

• Previous experience or knowledge in hair styling, hair extensions, or barbering is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Knowledge of sanitation practices within a salon setting
• Basic understanding of color theory, makeup application, and retail sales techniques
• Ability to perform retail math for upselling opportunities effectively
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 32.0 per week
