Job Highlights
Responsibilities
• Assessment. Evaluate scalp condition, perimeter density, tension history, and elasticity at every visit. Recognize presentations that fall outside cosmetology scope, including folliculitis, seborrheic conditions, and patterned or traction-related loss, and refer to a physician rather than treat.
• Grid and foundation. Design and preserve parting grid over the life of the loc. Maintain grid integrity through growth, reconstruction, and repair, and correct drift before it becomes irreversible.
• Methodology. Select interlocking, palm rolling, or retwist according to texture, density, porosity, and the client's maintenance interval, not personal habit. Adjust tension deliberately and document what was used.
• Restorative work. Combine, separate, and rebuild compromised locs. Repair thinning roots and weakened midshafts before failure, and advise honestly when a loc cannot be saved.
• Protective styling. Install without excess tension at the hairline or nape, with a defined takedown window communicated to the client.
•Tailored recommendations. Build a home regimen matched to porosity and lifestyle, and revise it when the hair or the client's circumstances change.
No experience needed. Paid training.
