Manicurist and Nail Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications, and nail care treatments.
• Apply advanced techniques such as nail extensions and dermabrasion to enhance client satisfaction.
• Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations for nail care and enhancements.
• Upsell retail products related to nail care, skincare, and beauty treatments to enhance client experience and increase sales.
• Stay current with industry trends such as color theory, esthetic laser treatments, eyelash extensions, hair styling, hair extensions, body waxing, hair threading, and barbering to offer comprehensive beauty services.
• Ensure proper disinfection of tools and workstations after each client to uphold the highest standards of hygiene.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a manicurist or nail technician with a strong portfolio of nail art and extension work.
• Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing as required by local regulations.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols.
• Skilled in applying gel manicures, acrylic nails, nail extensions, and performing pedicures with precision.
• Excellent communication skills for client consultation and building rapport.
• Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Familiarity with color theory principles and current nail trends to deliver innovative designs.
