Nail Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform professional nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and care.
• Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail treatments or enhancements.
• Maintain strict sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools and workstations after each service to ensure client safety.
• Apply advanced techniques like gel polish application, nail extensions, and intricate nail designs using color theory principles.
• Upsell additional services such as body waxing, eyelash extensions, or esthetic laser treatments to enhance client satisfaction.
• Provide exceptional customer service by creating a friendly atmosphere, listening attentively, and addressing client questions or concerns professionally.
• Keep detailed records of services performed and products used for each client to ensure consistency and repeat business.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of nail care techniques, including cuticle care, shaping, polishing, and nail art design.
• Proficiency in color theory to create visually appealing nail designs that complement client preferences.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
• Ability to uphold high standards of sanitation and safety in accordance with health regulations.
• Experience with advanced beauty treatments such as eyelash extensions, dermabrasion, hair extensions, hair styling, hair threading, body waxing, esthetic laser treatments, and barbering is a plus.
• Retail sales skills to recommend products like nail polishes or skincare items that enhance the client experience.
• Knowledge of retail math for upselling products effectively while maintaining professionalism.
• Nail Specialty License (Preferred)
