Nail Technician

Duties

• Perform professional nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art, ensuring high-quality results.
• Apply knowledge of color theory to recommend suitable shades and designs that match clients' preferences and skin tones.
• Maintain strict sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and workstations to uphold health regulations and client safety.
• Provide personalized consultations to understand client needs, offering expert advice on nail care, trending styles, and maintenance tips.
• Upsell retail products such as nail polishes, treatments, and skincare items to enhance clients' at-home care routines.
• Assist with additional beauty services like eyelash extensions, body waxing, or hair styling as needed to broaden client offerings.
• Keep detailed records of services performed and client preferences for future appointments and personalized recommendations.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology license or certification in nail technology from an accredited program.
• Strong knowledge of nail care techniques, including gel application, acrylics, and intricate nail art designs.
• Familiarity with sanitation protocols and safety procedures to ensure a clean work environment.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with clients effectively and provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to stay current with beauty trends such as nail art, color theory, and new product innovations.
• Experience with retail sales techniques and upselling strategies to promote products confidently.
• Additional skills in esthetic laser treatments, hair extensions, hair threading, body waxing, eyelash extensions, or dermabrasion are a plus but not required.

Compensation and Work Location

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
