Duties
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen saturation to monitor patient health status
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment for aesthetic treatments or minor medical procedures
- Support provider during treatments by handing instruments, applying topical medications, or administering injections following proper protocols and safety standards
- Manage medication administration tasks with precision, including injections or topical applications as directed by physicians
- Perform basic clinical tasks
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions using medical terminology and ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures
- Ensure clinic cleanliness and organization while adhering to infection control standards
- Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, confirming patient details, and managing follow-up communications
Experience
- Prior experience working in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, or medical-surgical settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration techniques
- Experience with EHR systems
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
- Previous clinic experience involving intake procedures, vital sign collection, or outpatient services is beneficial
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately in a fast-paced setting
- Associate degree preferred
