Hustlestop is a boutique, high-end salon in Newton offering personalized services to a discerning clientele. With just 4 service chairs and a design-forward atmosphere, our environment is intentionally calm and intimate - prioritizing premium quality and service over quantity for both clients and practitioners. Our space allows beauty professionals to work intentionally and creatively without the chaos of high volume while maintaining a light and airy open space feel in which to decompress, all of which our clients greatly appreciate.

Job Overview

We are seeking a truly talented Stylist/Colorist with strong technical ability and a refined aesthetic to join our team. As a wellness-forward salon dedicated to clean and luxurious beauty services for busy, health-conscious clients, our signature services use premium product lines from Kevin Murphy and Arete as well as Cezanne Keratin treatments, which are formaldehyde-free.

A keen eye for aesthetics with the ability to recommend cuts and styles that enhance clients' natural beauty and reflect their lifestyles.

This role also provides the opportunity to promote the Stylist's own business and/or beauty brand, regardless of whether they are a commission-based employee or rent a chair.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide precision cut, color, styling, and Keratin services focused on hair and scalp health
• Educate clients on the Kevin Murphy, Arete, and Cezanne brands and which products suit them best and why
• Recommend retail products and home-care regimens
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and professionalism
• Build lasting client relationships and word-of-mouth referrals through the highest quality services and experience
• Stay up to date on trends in hair and scalp health

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Cosmetology License
• Experience with Kevin Murphy, Arete, and/or Cezanne is a bonus, but not required (we can arrange for official Kevin Murphy, Arete, and/or Cezanne training)
• Strong attention to detail and hygiene
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism
• Passion for healthy hair and scalp products

Compensation
