Part-Time Licensed Massage Therapist at Rooted Wellness & Apothecary
Rooted Wellness & Apothecary is seeking a holistic-minded Licensed Massage Therapist for a part-time position as we introduce massage therapy to our wellness offerings.We're looking for a compassionate practitioner who combines a whole-person approach with a strong foundation in anatomy and thoughtful, individualized treatment.
The Role
- Provide massage treatments tailored to each client's needs, goals, and comfort.
- Apply anatomical knowledge and clinical reasoning to treatment planning and hands-on care.
- Complete consultations, maintain treatment records, and provide appropriate aftercare guidance.
- Maintain professional boundaries and a clean, welcoming treatment space.
- Collaborate with Rooted on service offerings and scheduling.
What We're Looking For
- An active Massachusetts massage therapist license in good standing.
- In-depth knowledge, understanding, and formal training in human anatomy, including musculoskeletal anatomy and kinesiology. Candidates must confidently apply that knowledge in practice.
- Availability to work weekends.
- A holistic, client-centered approach to massage and wellness.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Strong communication, dependability, and attention to cleanliness.
- Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) training is a bonus, but is not required.
Opening Timeline
We are hiring ahead of completing our massage establishment licensing. With the selected therapist's knowledge and agreement, their license information will be included in our application. Massage appointments will begin once the required establishment approval is in place.
