Massage Therapist

Duties

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs
• Conduct thorough client assessments to identify areas of tension, pain points, and treatment goals
• Communicate clearly with clients about treatment plans, comfort levels, and post-session care instructions
• Maintain detailed records of treatments provided and client progress in compliance with health regulations
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols such as CPR certification
• Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness or pain management
• Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and physiology knowledge

Requirements

• Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with state or local regulations
• Proven experience in various massage modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, trigger point therapy, and prenatal massage
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments effectively
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients
• Experience with pain management techniques and occupational health benefits preferred
• Certification in CPR and first aid required or obtainable upon hire
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed to accommodate client schedules
