Massage Therapist at SBL Skin Studio

This is a great opportunity for a Massage Therapist who values flexibility and autonomy. Therapists will have the ability to set their own hours and availability while providing exceptional service to our clients.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform professional massage therapy services based on each client's individual needs and preferences.
• Provide a variety of massage techniques, including but not limited to: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Stretching and relaxation techniques, and other therapeutic massage modalities.
• Conduct client consultations to understand their concerns, goals, preferences, and areas of discomfort.
• Assess clients' needs and customize each massage session accordingly.
• Maintain professional, respectful, and appropriate communication with clients at all times.
• Create a relaxing, comfortable, and welcoming environment for every client.
• Maintain accurate client treatment notes and records when required.
• Follow proper sanitation, hygiene, and safety procedures.
• Properly clean, disinfect, and prepare the treatment room and equipment between clients.
• Maintain professional boundaries and follow all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Recognize situations that may require modification or discontinuation of treatment and communicate appropriately with the client.
• Recommend appropriate massage techniques, treatment frequency, stretching, hydration, or self-care when appropriate and within your professional scope of practice.
• Protect client confidentiality and privacy.
• Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled appointments.
• Communicate professionally with clients and management regarding scheduling, appointments, and other needs.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Help create a positive and supportive workplace environment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while also communicating and collaborating effectively with other team members.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and other activities when requested.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and standards of service.
• Provide an exceptional client experience that encourages client satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Massage Therapist license/certification as required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.
• Professional liability insurance, if required.
• Experience performing multiple massage modalities.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, contraindications, and safe massage practices.
• Excellent hands-on skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, dependable, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Ability to work cooperatively and positively with a team.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Commitment to client safety, comfort, privacy, and satisfaction.
