Licensed Massage Therapist

Duties

• Deliver a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand symptoms, medical history, and specific pain points for effective treatment planning
• Educate clients on self-care practices and post-treatment recommendations to maximize benefits
• Maintain detailed records of each session, including treatment notes and client progress reports
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and professional standards
• Communicate clearly with clients about treatment options, expectations, and any contraindications or medical considerations
• Stay current with industry trends and continuing education requirements such as CPR certification and physiology knowledge

Skills

• Strong patient service orientation with excellent client communication skills
• Proficiency in various massage modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical terminology understanding
• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patient conditions and tailor treatments accordingly
• Experience in pain management techniques and occupational health practices
• Ability to build trust with clients through empathetic listening and professional guidance
• Familiarity with med spa environments or similar settings is preferred
• Certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) is required
