Responsibilities

• Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and trigger point therapy.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs, including evaluating physiology and anatomy to customize treatments effectively.
• Communicate clearly with clients to explain treatment plans, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout each session.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment details, and medical history in compliance with healthcare standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols including CPR certification and proper sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Educate clients on self-care routines and pain management strategies to support ongoing wellness outside of sessions.
• Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and provide exceptional care.

Skills

• Proven experience in massage therapy with expertise in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and trigger point therapy.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practices.
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters trust and rapport.
• Experience in pain management techniques and understanding of injury prevention strategies.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and professionalism.
• Prior med spa or healthcare setting experience is preferred but not required; ongoing education in massage therapy is highly valued.
