Licensed Massage Therapist at Vira & Wellness

We're looking for a therapist who is excited to build their presence and clientele within Vira & Wellness. We will support the therapist through our website, booking platform, social media, and in-house marketing.

This is a part-time position with a regular 3-day schedule Tuesday–Thursday. Occasionally, additional hours may be available Saturdays, Sundays, or during special events.

Duties

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to address client needs. Must be comfortable with add-ons such as hot stones, stretching massages, cold stone facial massage, and more.
• Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals.
• Communicate clearly with clients to explain treatment plans, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout sessions.
• Maintain detailed records of each session, including techniques used and client responses, in compliance with privacy standards.
• Stay informed about the latest massage therapy practices and integrate new methods such as physiology knowledge and pain management strategies into treatments.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all health regulations, including CPR certification and sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or med spa staff to provide comprehensive care when necessary.
• Must collaborate in keeping their space clean.

Client Building & Marketing

Vira & Wellness will promote massage services and help generate new client opportunities; however, therapists are also expected to play an active role in growing their clientele.

This may include:

• Encouraging clients to rebook and become regulars.
• Building relationships that lead to repeat appointments and referrals.
• Promoting their availability and services through their own professional network or social media.
• Participating in occasional Vira & Wellness marketing content.
• Helping introduce new clients to the practice.

Experience

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in CPR and first aid.
• Proven experience delivering a wide range of massage modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
• Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
• Experience preferred but we are willing to train.
• Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate effectively with clients about treatment options.
• Experience managing pain relief or pain management cases is preferred.
• Familiarity with customer service principles to ensure a positive client experience.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Motivated to build and maintain a repeat client base.

We value consistency and want our therapists to have a predictable schedule while having the opportunity to pick up additional appointments when desired.
