Licensed Massage Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and other modalities tailored to client needs.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual concerns, medical history, and treatment goals.
• Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing health maintenance.
• Maintain detailed records of each session, including client feedback, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with privacy standards.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and occupational health guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, address questions, and foster a trusting relationship.
• Stay current with industry best practices, certifications such as CPR, and emerging massage techniques to continually enhance service quality.

Skills

• Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and other modalities.
• Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly.
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and occupational health concerns.
• Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and develop customized treatment plans.
• Experience working in med spa settings or similar environments is preferred.
• Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in trigger point therapy or sports massage are a plus.
