Licensed Massage Therapist at Healspace

Responsibilities

• Deliver a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals.
• Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate treatment plans tailored to their physiology and pain management needs.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of each session, including client progress and treatment notes in compliance with medical terminology standards.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations, including CPR certification requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients about their comfort levels during sessions and adjust techniques accordingly for optimal results.
• Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and expand service offerings.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification in CPR.
• Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
• Excellent patient communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and injury rehabilitation.
• Prior experience working in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and compassion for clients' well-being.
• Massage Therapy License (Required)
