Licensed Massage Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safe therapy delivery
• Educate clients on the benefits of different massage modalities and provide guidance on self-care practices for ongoing wellness
• Maintain detailed records of client sessions, including treatment notes and progress updates in compliance with privacy regulations
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, preferences, and health history, ensuring a personalized experience
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized treatment area in accordance with licensing standards
• Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and relevant medical terminology to continually enhance service quality

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification and registration
• Proven experience in massage therapy, including Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments
• Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately assess client needs and deliver effective treatments
• Familiarity with pain management techniques and patient assessment procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients
• CPR certification and knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required
• Prior experience working in med spas or similar healthcare settings is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed
