Newly Licensed Massage Therapist

Duties

• Perform customized massage therapy sessions including prenatal massage, hot stone massage, cupping, abdominal massage, relaxation and integrative massage techniques.
• Conduct patient assessments to understand individual health histories, pain points, and treatment goals.
• Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments.
• Educate clients on self-care practices and post-treatment recommendations to maximize benefits.
• Maintain detailed documentation of each session, including treatment notes and patient progress reports.
• Uphold the highest standards of patient service by creating a welcoming, comfortable environment.
• Assist with clinic operations such as scheduling appointments and managing the treatment room efficiently.

Experience

• Recent graduation from an accredited massage therapy program with active NYS licensure and permit.
• Basic understanding of patient assessment techniques and therapeutic massage modalities like deep tissue and trigger point therapy.
• Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practice.
• Prior customer service experience demonstrating strong communication skills and empathy.
• Knowledge of occupational health standards and best practices for maintaining hygiene and safety in a clinical setting.

Pay

Payments will be made weekly to include $25 an hour plus tips.
