Licensed Massage Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual client needs
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern
• Maintain detailed records of client treatments, progress, and medical history in compliance with privacy regulations
• Educate clients on self-care practices, injury prevention, and pain management strategies
• Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation standards and maintaining equipment
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support integrated patient care when necessary
• Stay updated on the latest massage therapy techniques, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to the role

Experience

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification
• Proven experience in massage therapy, preferably with med spa or occupational health settings
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pain management principles
• Experience performing deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced modalities
• Excellent patient service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and personalized care
• CPR certification is required to ensure safety during all treatments
• Prior experience with patient assessment and understanding of medical terminology is highly desirable
