Job Overview

We are seeking a truly talented and accomplished Makeup Artist who will have a dedicated station. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in makeup application and a keen eye for aesthetics, with the ability to enhance clients' natural beauty - particularly a flawless "no make-up" make-up look - and use exclusive product lines. This role requires excellent customer service skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with clients who are extremely busy and have exacting standards. The Makeup Artist will be responsible for providing makeup services for various occasions, ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional artistry and professionalism as well as retail sales for brands and products being used and recommended.

This role also provides the opportunity to promote the Makeup Artist's own business and/or brand, regardless of whether they are a commission-based employee or rent a chair.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications for clients based on their preferences and occasions, including special events, photoshoots, and everyday looks.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
• Educate clients on brands, products, and techniques being used.
• Manage retail sales of makeup products.
• Utilize knowledge of color theory to create flattering looks that enhance each client's features.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Stay updated on current makeup trends and techniques to provide the best service possible.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Makeup Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing various styles and techniques.
• Strong understanding of color theory and its application in makeup artistry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients and understand their needs.
• Exceptional customer service skills to ensure a positive client experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices related to makeup application is essential.
