About the Role
Clarity Tattoo Removal is looking for a personable, reliable, and motivated Part-Time Laser Technician to join our growing practice in Davis Square, Somerville.
This is a hands-on, client-facing position working approximately 20 to 25 hours per week. Saturday availability is required. The position also has the potential to transition into a full-time role beginning in January 2027 as Clarity continues to grow.
Clarity specializes in complete tattoo removal, fading for cover-ups, and permanent makeup removal using Candela PicoWay technology.
What You’ll Do
Perform laser tattoo removal treatments following established treatment and safety protocols
Conduct consultations and educate clients about treatment expectations and aftercare
Review treatment histories and document treatment settings and progress
Take standardized before, after, and progress photographs
Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, professional environment
Schedule and reschedule appointments
Check clients in and out and process payments
Maintain accurate client records
Handle occasional client phone calls and basic email communication
Who We’re Looking For
Previous tattoo removal experience is not required. Professional laser experience is highly preferred, including laser hair removal or other laser-based aesthetic treatments.
We also welcome candidates with backgrounds in esthetics, medical aesthetics, med spas, dermatology, cosmetic practices, and other client-facing aesthetic environments who are interested in developing specialized laser skills.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with technology, and confident working one-on-one with clients. Because this role will eventually work independently, strong communication skills and good judgment are important.
Training & Growth
Clarity provides training in laser tattoo removal, our treatment protocols, Candela PicoWay technology, laser safety procedures, practice management systems, and our client experience standards.
We’re a small, locally owned and growing practice, so this is an opportunity to develop specialized experience and become an important part of the team as Clarity expands.
Schedule: Approximately 20 to 25 hours per week. Saturday availability is required.
Compensation: $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience.
