About Salon Shear Genius
Salon Shear Genius is a family owned salon proudly serving Chester County for nearly two decades. We believe talented, motivated beauty professionals deserve the opportunity to put their education into practice, develop their skills, and build careers they can be proud of.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and creative Junior Stylist / Emerging Colorist who is ready to take the next step from cosmetology school to the professional salon environment.
At SSG, we recognize that every experienced stylist was once a beginner. You do not need years of experience to apply. You need a current Pennsylvania cosmetology license, a passion for the beauty industry, a willingness to learn, and the drive to succeed.

What You Will Do
Get Behind the Chair: Perform haircuts, blowouts, styling, and other services within your training and demonstrated skill level.
Develop Your Color Skills: Build experience with root touch ups, all over color, highlights, lowlights, and dimensional color, with opportunities to expand your techniques as your skills progress.
Create Great Client Experiences: Listen to clients, understand their goals, communicate professionally, and help them feel comfortable and confident.
Build Your Clientele: Develop relationships, encourage rebooking, provide consistent service, and work toward growing your own book of business.
Expand Your Knowledge: Learn about professional haircare, scalp care, styling products, and appropriate product recommendations.
Keep Learning: Take advantage of available product education and professional development opportunities.
Be Part of the Team: Collaborate with fellow stylists, maintain a positive attitude, and contribute to a welcoming salon environment.
Develop Professional Habits: Maintain a clean workstation, follow sanitation requirements, arrive prepared, and take responsibility for your growth.
What We Are Looking For
A current, active Pennsylvania cosmetology license.
A recent cosmetology school graduate, newly licensed cosmetologist, or early career stylist.
A passion for hair, beauty, creativity, and helping clients look and feel their best.
A willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continually improve.
Dependability, punctuality, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
Friendly communication skills and a client first attitude.
An interest in building a clientele and developing a long term career.
Previous salon experience is welcome, but not required. Your potential matters.
