About us

Salon 592 is a busy salon right in the historical downtown center of Shrewsbury, MA looking to welcome 1 - 2 stylists to help keep up with new guest demand. We are a professional, collaborative, and inclusive team and our mission is to provide an inviting, non-competitive, supportive and judgment-free space for staff and guests to relax and have fun in.

Job Description

We are looking for 1-2 highly motivated, creative, and responsible stylists who are passionate about the beauty industry and are seeking a new long-term salon home. Ideally a minimum of 3-5 years behind the chair experience, with some or many clientele following.

Compensation is either hourly or commission, whichever is highest per bi-weekly pay period. Starting hourly wage and commission split determined based on experience, talent, and volume of existing clientele following. ($18/hour minimum)

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests
  • Thorough and personable consultations to ensure stylists and guests are on the same page and avoid potential miscommunications
  • Remaining positive and respectful
  • Consult guests about services and appropriate products, and make recommendations based on needs and wants
  • Performing most/all services available to guests with quality standards
  • Conducting chemical analysis on hair to determine the best treatments and/or products
  • Develop long-lasting relationships with new and existing guests
  • Maintaining a clean and organized station
  • Maintaining a clean and organized salon to run smoothly each day
  • Keeping up with relevant KPIs
  • Participation in salon meetings, education, events, and professional photoshoots
