This role involves not only providing haircuts and styling but also offering additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, and hair threading. The Hair Stylist will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for clients while maintaining high standards of sanitation and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling.
• Perform additional beauty treatments such as eyelash extensions, nail care, and hair threading.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and salon areas.
• Utilize straight razor techniques when necessary for specific styles.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
• Mentor junior stylists and assist in their professional development.
• Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments using MINDBODY software.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive salon atmosphere.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and beauty treatments.

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license.
• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a strong portfolio of work.
• Knowledge of various hair techniques including cutting, coloring, barbering, and straight razor skills.
• Experience with eyelash extensions, nail care, and hair threading is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing appointments and client records.
• Ability to maintain high standards of sanitation in accordance with health regulations.
• Previous experience in store management or mentoring is an advantage.
