Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of hair services including cuts, styling, coloring, highlights, balayage, and extensions using advanced techniques such as hair extensions and eyelash extensions.
• Consult with clients to understand their desired look, recommend suitable styles, and educate them on hair care routines.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by adhering to salon safety protocols and proper sterilization practices.
• Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
• Offer additional services such as makeup application, nail care, hair threading, and straight razor shaves to enhance client satisfaction.
• Upsell retail products by applying retail math skills to recommend shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and other beauty essentials.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointment bookings, and handling inquiries professionally.
• Mentor junior team members in technical skills like barbering, cosmetology techniques, and customer service excellence.
• Support store management in inventory control, merchandising displays, and achieving sales goals through effective upselling strategies.

Skills

• Proven expertise in hair styling techniques including precision cuts, blowouts, braiding, and textured styles.
• Knowledge of color theory for safe and vibrant coloring results; experience with balayage or foil highlights preferred.
• Skilled in applying hair extensions securely and seamlessly for natural-looking volume or length enhancements.
• Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Experience in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and beard trimming is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and provide personalized recommendations.
• Ability to perform makeup application tailored to individual features or special occasions.
• Retail sales aptitude with the ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining customer trust.
• Capable of mentoring team members in technical skills like eyelash extensions or nail care while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
