Duties

• Provide professional haircuts, trims, styling, and grooming services tailored to each client's preferences.
• Perform barbering services including straight razor shaves, beard trims, and facial grooming.
• Apply hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and perform hair threading to enhance client looks.
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales tracking.
• Educate clients on color theory for custom coloring services and recommend suitable hair care products.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and ensuring a clean work environment.
• Assist at the front desk with client check-in/out, retail product upselling, and retail math to maximize sales opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and support store management in daily operations and customer service excellence.

Skills

• Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, and cosmetology with a strong portfolio of work.
• Skilled in applying hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care techniques.
• Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for efficient appointment management.
• Strong understanding of color theory for customized coloring services.
• Proficiency with straight razors and other grooming tools for precise cuts and shaves.
• Excellent communication skills to connect with clients and understand their desired looks.
• Ability to upsell retail products effectively while providing outstanding customer service.
• Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Store management experience is a plus for those interested in leadership roles within the salon.
• Capable of multitasking at the front desk while delivering high-quality styling services.

Compensation

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
