Experience with salon software such as MINDBODY, retail sales, and store management is a plus. A valid cosmetology or barbering license is required, along with excellent communication skills and a dedication to sanitation and safety standards.

Duties

• Provide professional hair styling, cutting, coloring, and grooming services tailored to client preferences
• Perform specialized services including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking
• Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Educate clients on hair care products and upselling retail items to enhance their salon experience
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety in accordance with industry regulations
• Mentor junior staff or apprentices to foster skill development within the team
• Assist with store management tasks when needed, including inventory control and retail math calculations

Skills

• Proficiency in hair styling techniques and barbering services including straight razor shaves and hair threading
• Knowledge of color theory for custom coloring services
• Experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and makeup application
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build lasting client relationships
• Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management
• Ability to perform retail sales and upselling to maximize client satisfaction and revenue
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Store management skills including inventory control and retail math calculations
• Excellent communication skills for mentoring team members and engaging clients effectively
