Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate & dedicated Hair Stylist assistant to join our team! If you love the beauty industry & enjoy providing excellent customer service, this is the perfect opportunity to learn & grow in a professional salon environment.

Duties

• Assist hairstylist with shampooing, conditioning & treatments.
• Greet & prepare clients for their appointments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of salon stations & tools.
• Sweep & tidy work areas between clients.
• Provide outstanding customer service to clients.
• Mix & apply hair color under stylist supervision.
• Assist with blow-drying & styling as needed.
• Restock products & salon supplies.
• Manage laundry duties (towels, capes, etc.).
• Will provide training to take clients behind the chair & perform hair services as ready to do so upon training.

Requirements

• Passion for the beauty & hair industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication & teamwork skills
• Professional appearance & positive attitude
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated
• Prior salon experience is a plus but not required
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques & take direction
• Cosmetology students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
