Duties

• Provide a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate services.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and techniques.
• Utilize salon software, specifically MINDBODY, for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with industry regulations.
• Assist with front desk operations including greeting clients and managing retail sales.
• Mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on best practices in hair care and styling.
• Perform additional services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application as needed.
• Engage in upselling products and services to enhance the client experience.

Skills

• Proficient in hair styling techniques including color theory, straight razor cuts, hair extensions, hair threading, and barbering.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Experience with salon management tasks including retail math for inventory management.
• Familiarity with salon software systems, particularly MINDBODY.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients.
• Ability to mentor others and foster a collaborative team atmosphere.
• Retail sales experience is a plus to help drive product sales within the salon.
