Job Overview

As a Textured Hair Stylist, you'll create tailored hair services for clients with textured hair, from consultation through finishing. You'll use your knowledge of hair care, styling, and color to help clients feel informed and confident in their choices.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients about their goals, hair history, and care routines; recommend suitable services and at-home care.
• Perform textured hair styling, cutting, coloring, extensions, threading, and other services within your training and applicable requirements.
• Provide thoughtful consultations and personalized services to help clients make informed choices and support their healthy hair journeys.
• Maintain clean tools and work areas, follow sanitation practices, and manage appointments and client records using salon software.
• Support salon operations through customer service, appropriate service recommendations, and mentoring teammates when needed.

Skills

• Essential: Cosmetology knowledge, textured hair styling, hair care, sanitation, customer service, communication, and client communication.
• Preferred: Experience in the beauty industry; hair coloring and color theory; hair extensions; straight razor techniques and barbering; hair threading; makeup application; and nail care.
• Ability to discuss service options and practice thoughtful upselling while keeping client needs central.
