The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of hair styling techniques and trends, along with exceptional customer service skills. As a Hair Stylist, you will have the opportunity to create stunning looks for clients while providing them with an exceptional salon experience. You will be responsible for staying updated on the latest styles and techniques, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to a positive salon environment.

Duties

• Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling to meet client needs.
• Apply knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results for clients.
• Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to clients' requests and offering professional advice.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist clients in selecting products that complement their hairstyles.
• Mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on best practices within the salon.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and salon areas.
• Use MINDBODY software for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing transactions.
• Upsell products and services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.

Experience

• Valid cosmetology license is required.
• Proven experience in hair styling, including knowledge of current trends and techniques.
• Experience with eyelash extensions and hair extensions is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts for effective product sales.
• Previous mentoring or leadership experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in using salon management software such as MINDBODY is advantageous.
