Hairstylist/Cosmetologist

Duties

• Perform professional haircuts, styling, coloring, and hair extension applications using the latest techniques.
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently.
• Offer expert consultations on hair care routines, product recommendations, and styling options tailored to individual needs.
• Maintain strict sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with industry regulations.
• Apply advanced skills such as straight razor shaves, hair threading, makeup application, and nail care to enhance client satisfaction.
• Upsell retail products by educating clients on their benefits and usage to support ongoing hair health.
• Mentor junior staff or apprentices to foster skill development within the team.
• Manage store operations including inventory management and customer service excellence to ensure smooth daily functions.

Experience

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or cosmetologist with a strong portfolio of diverse services.
• Knowledge of salon management tools like MINDBODY or similar salon software is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in hair coloring techniques based on color theory principles.
• Skilled in barbering techniques such as straight razor shaves and grooming services for men.
• Familiarity with hair extensions application methods and advanced styling techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for client consultation, service explanation, and building lasting relationships.
• Experience in providing exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety protocols.
• Ability to adapt to new trends in hair styling, makeup application, and nail care while mentoring others in best practices.
