Sit Still Wellesley is growing...fast.
Since opening, we've already broken franchise records and built a rapidly growing community of local families. We're looking for an experienced, confident stylist to join our team and grow with us.
At Sit Still Kids Salon, we pair seriously good haircuts with an experience kids (and their parents) actually enjoy. Our salon is bright, modern, welcoming, and designed specifically for families. For our stylists, that means a built-in clientele, a steady flow of appointments and the opportunity to focus on what you do best: great hair.
We're looking for a technically strong stylist who is comfortable working efficiently, loves connecting with families and takes pride in delivering clean, consistent cuts.

What You'll Do:
Consult with parents and children to understand the desired haircut and style
Deliver technically strong, consistent haircuts efficiently and safely
Review each finished cut with the parent before completing the service
Create a welcoming, patient and positive experience for children
Build relationships with families and encourage repeat visits
Follow Sit Still service, sanitation and safety standards
Participate in ongoing training and team development
Recommend appropriate retail products when helpful to clients
What We're Looking For:
Current Massachusetts cosmetology license (Type 1 or Type 2)
Professional salon haircutting experience
Strong technical haircutting ability, including: clipper cuts and fades, scissor-over-comb, long hair shaping and layering, bang/fringe shaping, bob and pixie cuts
Confidence working with children while maintaining haircut quality
Ability to comfortably complete most haircut appointments, from consultation through finish, in approximately 30 minutes
Strong finishing and styling skills
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Weekend and some evening availability
Bonus skills: Braiding and updos, shaved designs, feed-in braids, sparkle strands, feather extensions and K-tip installation
Compensation
Competitive compensation with multiple ways to earn, including service commission, gratuities, retail commission and performance-based incentives.
Our high-volume Wellesley location provides the built-in clientele to help strong stylists maximize their earning potential without having to bring an existing book of business.
