Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, extensions, and texturizing treatments with precision and care.
• Provide expert barbering services such as straight razor shaves and beard grooming to cater to diverse client needs.
• Deliver professional hair care advice, recommend suitable products, and upsell additional services to enhance client satisfaction.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health regulations.
• Utilize salon management software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with clients to understand their preferences, offer styling suggestions, and ensure a personalized experience.
• Stay current on industry trends in hair coloring, styling techniques, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading to provide innovative services.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair care techniques, color theory, store management practices, and client communication strategies.

Experience

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or cosmetologist with a strong portfolio of diverse services performed.
• Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
• Skilled in hair coloring techniques, including balayage, highlights, and corrective color work.
• Familiarity with hair extensions application and maintenance to offer clients versatile styling options.
• Competence in sanitation procedures to uphold health standards within the salon environment.
• Strong communication skills for engaging clients effectively and building lasting relationships.
• Experience working with a variety of beauty treatments including makeup application and nail care is a plus.
