Hair Stylist

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling, customer service, and salon management. You will be responsible for providing exceptional hair services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for our clients. Your expertise in various techniques, including hair extensions, color theory, and barbering, will be essential in delivering outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
• Utilize techniques such as hair extensions, hair threading, and straight razor cuts to meet client needs.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with salon protocols.
• Use salon software like MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
• Deliver excellent customer service by actively listening to client preferences and providing tailored recommendations.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, answering phones, and managing retail sales.
• Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on best practices in hair styling and salon operations.
• Stay updated on current trends in hairstyling, makeup application, and nail care to offer clients the latest services.
• Engage in upselling products and services to enhance the client experience.

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license is required.
• Proficiency in hair styling techniques including color theory and straight razor cutting.
• Experience with salon software systems such as MINDBODY is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Background in retail sales is a plus to help drive product sales within the salon.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being self-motivated.
• Experience in mentoring or training junior stylists is desirable.
