Key Responsibilities
- Provide stylish, fun, and age-appropriate haircuts for kids <10.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and entertaining experience for each kid.
- Utilize gentle, kid-friendly techniques to ensure a comfortable and stress-free environment.
- Collaborate with parents to understand and meet their expectations, while guiding them through the Mayne experience.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized work area and studio space.
- Uphold Mayne's certified standards to deliver a consistent, high-quality experience across all services.
- Engage in regular training and workshops to stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in child hairstyling.
Requirements
- Must love kids, be silly at times, and eager to learn.
- Valid cosmetology or barber license in Massachusetts.
- Experience working with young children.
Skills
- Proficiency in various hair-cutting techniques suitable for different age groups, hair textures, and styles.
- Strong communication skills, both with kids and their parents, to build a trusting and joyful rapport.
- Ability to adapt techniques and services to fit Mayne's fun, non-traumatizing approach.
