A hair salon assistant, also known as a hair stylist assistant, helps a lead stylist with their daily tasks. Their responsibilities include:

• Customer service: Providing excellent customer service and developing rapport with clients
• Hair care tasks: Performing routine hair care tasks like shampooing, coloring, and drying
• Cleaning: Sweeping floors and general cleaning
• Supplies: Gathering supplies, mixing colors, and stocking towels and products
• Station preparation: Preparing hair stylist stations
• Laundry: Doing laundry
• Retail inventory: Stocking retail inventory

Requirements

MA Cosmetology license is a must.
