Currently looking for a highly skilled braider at VIP Style Barber Shop. Also a nail technician needed.

Our contact number is 718-822-2226 and our address is 3801 East Tremont Ave Bronx NY 10465. It is an upscale barbershop with 14 chairs and 16 4K televisions. Each station has a custom built 22" screen and air compression hoses. We sell barber products and feature a hot towel machine, central AC and heat, bright lights in the shop, and a state of the art sound system. You want to make money this is the spot. We've been here for 14 years in a great area.

Duties

• Perform intricate braiding styles including box braids, cornrows, twists, and other creative designs
• Apply hair extensions and perform hair threading as needed
• Provide additional salon services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care upon client request
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment following salon protocols
• Use salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records
• Assist with front desk responsibilities including greeting clients and managing retail sales
• Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance client experience
• Mentor junior staff or apprentices when required
• Manage store operations effectively, including inventory management and store management tasks

Skills

• Proficiency in hair styling techniques including braiding, coloring (color theory), and hair extensions application
• Experience with salon software platforms such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management
• Strong knowledge of sanitation standards within a salon environment
• Background in cosmetology or barbering with relevant licensing preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Ability to perform makeup application, nail care, and eyelash extensions is a plus
• Retail sales experience with retail math skills for upselling products effectively
• Knowledge of store management practices is beneficial
• Strong interpersonal skills for mentoring staff and engaging clients in retail upselling opportunities
