Part-Time Braiding Assistant / Shampoo & Braid-Down Specialist

The ideal candidate will specialize in clean, precise parting, neat braid-downs, and thorough shampoo services. Your primary responsibility will be preparing clients' natural hair for sew-in extensions, wig installations, and other protective styles.

Must be able to complete a wash and blowout within one hour, and sew-in braid-downs within one hour. A non-compete agreement of one year is required.

Responsibilities

• Shampoo, condition, detangle, and blow-dry clients' hair.
• Create clean, straight, and precise parts.
• Perform neat, flat, secure braid-downs for sew-ins and wig installations.
• Properly prepare and protect clients' natural hair before installations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation.
• Work efficiently to keep appointments running on schedule.
• Provide a professional and welcoming client experience.

Requirements

• Must be experienced in parting and cornrow braiding.
• Must be able to create flat, neat braid-downs suitable for sew-in installations.
• Experience shampooing, detangling, and blow-drying different hair textures.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and professional.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced salon environment.
• Must be available Thursday through Saturday, 11 AM–8 PM, with a lunch break.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience working with natural hair and extensions is strongly preferred.
