Front Desk Salon Assistant
We are seeking a confident, poised Front Desk Assistant to serve as the welcoming presence of our luxury hair boutique. Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate with stylists to optimize daily flow.
- Handle product sales and client transactions accurately, while maintaining accurate record keeping with well-defined handwriting.
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and booking client appointments while providing salon information.
- Support inventory management, track product levels and restocking as needed.
- Create eye appealing product line displays within salon.
- Accurately create end of day financial reports for salon owner.
- Take photos throughout the day, when time allows, for our social media accounts.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and client gathering areas.
- Serve clients with refreshments and/or light snacks.
Requirements
- Previous salon experience preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership experience is a plus, especially in retail or service environments.
- Excellent communication skills, including polite phone etiquette and active listening.
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions, retail math calculations, and cash register balancing.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Schedule
Days and hours needed are, Wednesdays 10am-8pm, Thursdays 10am-8pm, Fridays 10am-8pm, and occasionally Saturdays from 10am-5pm.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
