Barber/Stylist at Downtown Gardner Barbershop

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Barber to join our team. Looking for individuals with great haircutting skills, punctuality, personable and friendly demeanor to serve our clients while ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Busy shop in downtown Gardner looking for a good fit to accommodate the overflow of clients. Bringing your own clientele is a plus but not necessary as we have plenty to share!

The business is a small hometown shop with three of us working as a team helping build up the business and now are too busy to handle all the inquiries we get! The shop has a great reputation that we strive to uphold and is always booked and busy. We would love to get the right barber in here to be able to share our success in the industry with the possibility to grow more!

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, and grooming for a variety of men's styles
• Knowledge in women's haircuts and styles would also be a plus but not mandatory
• Utilize straight razors for precise haircuts and beard trims and facial shaves
• Sanitize tools and workstations to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences
• Assist managing shop cellphone for scheduling appointments and maintaining client records
• Make your own hours, being accountable and responsible for your own schedule

Experience & Requirements

• MA Barber license is required
• Proven experience in barbering or hair styling is preferred
• Skills in straight razor full facial shaves or other specialized services are an advantage
• Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
