Duties

• Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming consultations with precision and flair
• Utilize advanced techniques such as straight razor shaves, hair coloring, hair extensions, and hair threading to meet diverse client needs
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to health regulations
• Engage with clients through friendly communication, understanding their preferences and offering tailored recommendations for hair care and styling products
• Manage appointments efficiently using salon software like MINDBODY or similar platforms to optimize scheduling and client flow
• Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and grooming essentials to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, checking in appointments, and supporting store management activities when needed

Skills

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in barbering, hair styling, coloring, and hair extensions
• Proficiency with salon management software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client records
• Expertise in sanitation practices to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff
• Excellent communication skills for effective client consultation and team collaboration
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math to boost product sales
• Ability to mentor junior staff or apprentices in barbering techniques and customer service standards
• Familiarity with advanced beauty treatments like eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading is a plus
