Part-Time Barber at Adonis Barbershop

We specialize in men's grooming services, including haircuts, fades, tapers, shape-ups, beard trims, and traditional barbering. We do not focus on women's hairstyling or hair coloring.

Duties

• Provide professional men's barbering services, including haircuts, skin fades, tapers, shape-ups, lineups, beard trims, and grooming consultations.
• Listen carefully to clients, confirm their preferred style, and deliver clean, consistent results.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service to walk-in and returning clients.
• Arrive on time and be fully prepared for all scheduled shifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation.
• Sanitize and sterilize tools in accordance with New York State health and safety requirements.
• Manage appointments and walk-in clients efficiently.
• Maintain accurate service and payment records using the shop's scheduling and checkout system.
• Help create a relaxed, respectful, and welcoming neighborhood barbershop environment.
• Recommend appropriate grooming services or products when helpful to the client.

Qualifications

• Valid and current New York State barber license is required.
• Professional experience performing men's haircuts and barbering services.
• Strong skills in fades, tapers, shape-ups, lineups, beard trims, and traditional men's cuts.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistent work.
• Punctual, dependable, responsible, and able to maintain a regular part-time schedule.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation, tool sterilization, and workplace cleanliness.
• Comfortable working with both appointments and walk-in clients.
• A portfolio or Instagram page showing previous work is strongly preferred.
