• Utilize salon management software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with industry regulations and store policies
• Offer additional services like hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction
• Engage with clients through excellent communication skills, understanding their needs and providing personalized recommendations for retail products and upselling opportunities
• Assist at the front desk by greeting clients, managing appointments, and supporting retail sales efforts
• Mentor new team members and contribute to a positive team environment by sharing expertise in cosmetology, barbering techniques, and retail math

Skills

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong barbering skills including straight razor shaves and traditional cuts
• Knowledge of salon software platforms such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management
• Expertise in hair coloring, hair styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care
• Solid understanding of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build lasting client relationships
• Ability to perform retail sales through upselling products like hair care items, grooming tools, and cosmetics
• Familiarity with store management duties including front desk responsibilities and mentoring new team members
• Strong knowledge of color theory, cosmetology principles, retail math for sales transactions, and store management best practices
