Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced techniques such as straight razor shaves, hair threading, and eyelash extensions to enhance client satisfaction
• Assist clients with hair styling, coloring (including color theory applications), and hair extensions to achieve desired looks
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health regulations
• Manage appointments efficiently using salon software like MINDBODY or similar platforms to ensure smooth scheduling
• Engage with clients through excellent communication skills, understanding their needs and offering personalized recommendations
• Upsell retail products such as hair care, nail care, makeup, and retail math strategies to boost sales and enhance client experience
• Support front desk duties including greeting clients, managing walk-ins, and handling payments with professionalism
• Mentor junior team members or apprentices to foster skill development within the shop environment
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hair styling, barbering techniques, and salon services to continually elevate service quality

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with proven experience in professional grooming services
• Proficiency in haircutting, styling, coloring, and grooming techniques including straight razor shaves and hair threading
• Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment management and client records
• Strong understanding of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Experience with retail sales strategies including upselling products like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care items
• Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with diverse clients and team members
• Ability to multitask efficiently at the front desk while maintaining high service standards
