Duties

• Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading to meet client needs and preferences.
• Apply makeup and nail care treatments to enhance clients' overall look and confidence.
• Use salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently.
• Provide outstanding customer service by listening carefully to client requests, offering expert advice on hair care products, and upselling retail items to boost sales.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment by adhering to strict sanitation protocols for tools, stations, and treatment areas.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, barbering (including straight razor shaves), and other beauty services.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, answering inquiries, booking appointments, and handling retail math calculations for sales transactions.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hair coloring, styling techniques, and beauty treatments through ongoing education.
• Assist with store management tasks such as inventory control, merchandising retail products, and supporting promotional events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cosmetology or barbering with skills in hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care.
• Strong knowledge of color theory for customized hair coloring services.
• Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
• Expertise in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to perform retail sales confidently through upselling techniques while maintaining genuine customer relationships.
• Experience with store management responsibilities including inventory oversight and retail math calculations.
• Certification or licensing in cosmetology or barbering as required by local regulations.
